Policies and Procedures:
GRADING
Religion, L.A., and Literature grades are based on the following criteria: - Tests - Quizzes - Daily Assignments - Projects - One-Question Quizzers - Weekly Behavior All assignments will be updated on gradelink at a minimum of a weekly basis. Please check it frequently. GENERAL GUIDELINES - Student cell phones or other electronic devices are not to be used on campus at any time - Gum chewing is not allowed anywhere on campus - Play equipment is not to be used during the junior high recess each day from 9:55-10:05 - Lockers should be cleaned out each day for loose paper, food, and/or other trash - Students must keep their books and supplies in their lockers ( 8th grade). - Supplies and books should NEVER be left on the ground outside the junior high classrooms |
RESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOR
Each week students will be assessed on their responsible behavior using the following criteria: - Assignments completed and turned in on time. - Arriving to class on time - Arriving to class prepared with appropriate materials and supplies - Proper uniform - Maintaining respect for their classroom, classmates, and teacher - Staying on task - Adhering to all school rules The following grading scale will be used. Please keep in mind that each student will begin the week with a VG. Those going above and beyond their everyday responsibilities will earn that student an O and infractions will cause the grade to go down a letter grade for each infraction. O - Outstanding VG - Very Good G+ - Good G - Good G- - Good S+ - Satisfactory S - Satisfactory S- - Satisfactory NI - Needs Improvement U - Unsatisfactory Roughly translated O and VG are in the A range. G's are in the B range. S's in the C range. and NI and U are D and below. Each teacher will update the responsible behavior grade on Fridays. Students must have at least a G+ in responsible behavior to be eligible for quarter awards. |
UNIFORM
Boys Everyday - St. Patrick Polo/P.E. Shirt (P.E. days only) tucked in - Uniform shorts or pants - WHITE Crew Socks - Athletic Shoes Boys Formal Uniform - White collared shirt - St. Patrick Vest - Tie - Uniform Pants - WHITE Crew Socks - Athletic Shoes Girls Everyday - St. Patrick Polo/P.E. Shirt (P.E. days only) tucked in - Uniform shorts, pants, or skirt (not on P.E. days) - WHITE Crew or Knee Socks - Athletic Shoes Girls Formal Uniform - White collared shirt - St. Patrick Vest - Tie - Uniform Skirt - WHITE Knee Socks - Athletic Shoes Guidelines for All - Only St. Patrick sweatshirts (this is inclusive of the 8th grade sweatshirt) or jackets may be worn on school grounds. - All socks must be WHITE - Shirts must be tucked in - Minimal jewelry - No makeup - Clear nail polish only, no fake nails *Please see student/parent handbook for additional information/guidelines |
